Backyard chilling and grilling just got a major improvement!! 🤠😎

Cleared out a 12x14 space to install pavers and install a pergola.

Had to relocate some sprinkler control valves before anything else could happen. Went from 6 seperate valves covers to 2 valve boxes for a simpler/ cleaner look.

Then it was onto the pavers. Installed a w**d barrier, then 1in of paver sand and then on top of that installed Brock pads. Once all those steps were done it was ready for Oldcastle Beltis Pavers. Techniseal EZ Polymeric Sand then gets brushed on (think of it like tile grout for pavers).

Backyard Discovery Pergola Kit was installed once I removed some pavers to install 12in footers to secure the pergola to. The pavers that were located where the footings were got 8in bolts and a mesh cage connecting the 4 bolts together which then got placed in the concrete cos you cant just secure a pergola to pavers.

A lot of small steps for a beautiful outcome!!

Yes, I dabble in the furniture repair business too! 😎 well, I do my best to repair it. How this ornate bench seat broken leg arrived, and how it left.

Take away for the day; Gorilla Glue is not meant for furniture repairs!

Putting the interior of this window/wall together was all about handmade custom carpentry. The whole window was replaced and none of the 80+ year old interior trim was saved so I had to match it as close as possible. The first photos are of the original trim from other windows that I had to replicate.

But before that i had to close the wall up so put some spray foam insulation, sheetrock, mudding, then fresh coat of paint before I could move onto the enjoyable stuff 😆 Almost 7in wide window trim, 8in baseboards, picture rail....they sure dont install window trim like that anymore! 😂

Who wouldn't want to soak in this jetted tub! 🤩

Pulled out this walk-in tub that the homeowners had tried once, and rest of the time it was a giant laundry basket!! 😂 so out it went, and new jetted tub went in! Had to do some work on the surround to make it look good and found a close matching tile to install that matched the rest of the bathroom!

Turned out so nice!

Phase 2 of this home improvement list! Built a 6ftx9ft deck over these concrete steps so homeowner could have somewhere to sit and enjoy her morning coffee in the sun 🌞 😎

Secured it to wall with some Tapcon screws, 4 posts cemented in ground and then using the for the hidden screws really gives it a clean look.

Rounded off the list with extending an entryway step by forming and pouring some concrete, and then installing 4 Unique Home Designs Arcada Security Door, and door knob/Deadbolt

Phase 1 of this home improvement is complete! Can't say I had a whole lot of fun being in an attic multiple days getting all these HVAC Ducts reinsulated but got it done! 💪

The old insulation was so old the paper and staples holding it all together just crumbled as it was removed.

Well...found the cause of the discoloration 🧐🧐

I guess the person who put the baseboard in forgot where the plumbing was and put a 3.5in brad nail through the trim, drywall and into the main cold water line coming out of the slab 🤦‍♂️ big oops!!

Twwny-tiny hole caused a whole lot of damage! Only good thing coming out of this is the bathroom on the other side of this wall was barely used!

Dont worry, its going to ger fixed up and put back together!

Freshening up the front of a house for a new lease of curb appeal!
Front door got a fresh coat of BehrPaint Cracked Pepper Color and Ekena Millwork Vinyl Shutters to replace the rotten, falling apart ones.
