Notes from the Greenhouse:
Well hopefully we are making the turn for some warmer temps so all of us plant geeks and gardeners can get out and play in the dirt.
One of the not so enjoyable tasks, but an absolutely necessary one is to cover or haul plants into the greenhouses when a frost advisory is issued. Last night one was issued and of course I woke to 42 degrees. Better safe than sorry.
The greenhouse has been busy and we have lots of beautiful hanging baskets, premium annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and bedding plants.
On a sad note I do offer a prepaid and then we will hold your items until the weather warms. We clearly mark, flag and label all those items and sadly there are some people that lack any kind of integrity who will remove the flagging and sold signs and take the items. I can't remember all of them some find their way to the checkout and out the front door. Next year I will be putting in a lockable cage to keep those items in.
Now on a happier note.
This Sunday we will be having a celebration in honor of my dear friend Tanya. From 2 to 5
Reunited will be performing live on the butterfly terrace. The Prentice fire department will be here selling food and beverages. Someone from the VFW and Lions club will have a table set up sharing information. I also offered some space for a few vendors, one makes unique 3d printed items and the other freshly baked sweets and bread.
Any and all donations will be given to Tanya's daughter Kassidy to help her with some of the expenses she has been sadly having to take on, so any donations are immensely appreciated!
Thank you and have a fantastic day!
