Update: Had my visit to surgeon today and mostly good news. Still ahead of schedule but still have to follow time lines. Moved from light duty to medium duty with restrictions. I am still prohibited from using ladders for work, stability concerns. So my plan to take in boats that was the oldest appointments first has to be altered a bit. Any boats that I would need a ladder to get into will be a little longer. I scheduled 1 today and attempted another, both V-Hull 16 ft boats, no ladders. My return date is 6-26. I will be contacting folks as I see clear openings for your boat appointment and will work with everyone to the best of my ability as far as dropping off and picking up. Thank you for your patience and understanding for something that is out of my control. I need to follow Dr’s orders or risk re-injury. This repair is apparently far worse then my first one 3 years ago.

Here is our holiday hours. Thank you for your business and hope you have a great Memorial Day. Let’s keep in mind the meaning of the holiday and honor those who have given everything for our country. It is also a good time to bring your repairs or new product needs while the wait time is less then 3 weeks. We will soon be in that 6-8 week waiting time as summer approaches. A little update without a lot of information to all our boat appointment customers. The surgery went well and the recovery is also going good. Everything in a rotator cuff surgery needed repair, so a little worse then last one. The PT is a struggle but they say I’m ahead of schedule on that for mobility. Once again I apologize for this inconvenience and I continue to move forward without overdoing it. I want to acknowledge my coworkers who are stepping up to the plate and taking on the extra work to keep the shop running smoothly. We are still open from 8-4:30 with a short time during lunch being closed. All other work other than boats is still being done and we look forward to helping you in any way possible with your canvas needs. Thank you and sorry again for any inconvenience this is causing.

Unfortunately, there is some bad news for our boat appointment customers. I will be having rotator cuff surgery on March 19th and that will put our April, May and June appointments behind schedule. Because this will be my second one in 3 years I have a pretty good idea at the recovery time, but this one might be a little worse so I can't say for sure how much later your appointments will be. I will be trying to contact each of you personally and let you know your options. I am sorry for this news and will do my best to get you in as soon as possible.
