What a fantastic event last night at the Rhode Island Department of Education! More photos will be shared soon and we thank the incredible team behind this event for showcasing the very best in Rhode Island School architecture, design, construction, and engineering. This event was brought to life by Dr. Joseph DaSilva of RIDE, Manuel Corderio of CIVIC, Cory Boudreau and Taylor Hughes of AIA Rhode Island.

A special thank you as well to the sponsors who made the evening possible and the speakers from school districts across the state who shared insights into the outstanding projects transforming learning environments throughout Rhode Island.

The AIAri team had a fantastic time this weekend at the RI STEAM Expo, where we hosted a hands-on LEGO building table for kids to explore creativity, design, and problem-solving through architecture and construction.

From imaginative structures to future city ideas, young attendees got a chance to learn how architects and builders shape the world around us one brick at a time! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to build with us and celebrate the power of STEAM education in Rhode Island!

Tonight, we had the pleasure of hosting an architecture portfolio workshop at the Rhode Island School of Design Department of Architecture , a collaborative effort with and .aias

The evening brought together students and professionals for thoughtful portfolio reviews, creating space for meaningful dialogue around design thinking, representation, and storytelling. From early concepts to refined presentations, it was inspiring to see the range of work and the intention behind each portfolio.

A huge thank you to the reviewers who generously shared their time and insights, and to the students who showed up ready to engage, ask questions, and push their work further.

Events like this reinforce the value of mentorship and community in shaping the next generation of designers. Looking forward to continuing the conversation.

The Rhode Island School Building Authority (SBA) invites you to come learn about Rhode Island's historic investment in public school facilities. The SBA Project Showcase, located in the lobby of the Shepard Building at 255 Westminster Street, Providence, highlights a variety of projects, including new construction, additions, and renovations that are transforming learning environments for Rhode Island students. The work in the showcase reflects the State's commitment to improving learning environments for all public school students, which Rhode Island taxpayers supported through two $250M statewide bonds. These projects represent an investment in our cities and towns, in our youth's health and success, and in our State's future. See the models, explore the project boards, and learn about Comprehensive High Schools and PK-8 schools.
