So we showed up, saddled up, fired up the saw, and gave this willow the most professional breakup it’s ever had. Piece by piece, clean and controlled no smashed fence, no crater in the yard. Another hazard tree handled before Colorado weather handled it for us.

Turns out these mugos and junipers were hiding about 6 years of bad decisions and dead branches… 🌲✂️

THE GREAT ELM ESCAPADE OF 2025 🌳

Today’s adventure featured four mature elms, a crane the size of my student loan debt, and a crew of arborists who somehow make danger look like a team-building exercise.

From the moment we arrived, those trees knew their days were numbered. You could practically hear them whisper, “Oh great… they brought the climbers.”

Our crane operator was dialed in like he was playing a high-stakes video game.
Our climbers? They were up there moving around like they forgot gravity was a thing.
And the ground crew had logs flying through the air faster than my paycheck disappears on gas and chainsaws.

There were a few moments where the trees tried to intimidate us…
But honestly, we’ve seen worse attitudes from Monday mornings and broken chainsaws. 😂

But as always:
✔️ The cuts were clean
✔️ The swings were smooth
✔️ The team crushed it
✔️ And not a single limb (tree or human) was harmed in the making of this production

One big gust of wind and this cottonwood decided to test gravity... spoiler: gravity won. 💥🌳

Russian Olive Revolt: Overthrown. 🌿
Today we tackled a row of small Russian olives, cleared out a sneaky army of smaller sprouts and elm sprouts, and wrapped up with a “small” cottonwood removal…(you know it’s never really small once the saws come out).

It’s amazing how much cleaner and more open a yard feels once those sprouts stop trying to take over the neighborhood!

Another day, another battle won in the war against overgrowth.💪

Today’s cast of characters: one maple and a locust just begging for a little deadwood cleanup 🍁🌳. Then we had the other locust… looked like it was halfway packed for the nursing home already 🪑. We gave it the full retirement plan (chainsaw included ).
