An ode to terracotta.

Warm, weathered, and endlessly versatile, terracotta has been gracing gardens for centuries. Its rich earth tones complement every season, while its timeless character only grows more beautiful with age.

Whether filled with fragrant herbs, overflowing blooms, or standing proudly on its own, terracotta brings a sense of permanence and place to the garden.

Some trends come and go. Terracotta remains.

Nothing beats an early summer evening spent by the fountain. When Janey Santos invited us to see one of her newest garden projects, we were struck by how naturally every piece settled into the landscape.

Some gardens aren’t built around plants alone. They’re built around a moment. Here, the custom West Lodge Fountain with a Roman Pool surround, and Winter Season statue come together to create a space that invites you to linger a little longer. Surrounded by Mediterranean plantings, the entire composition feels less like a collection of garden features and more like something that has always belonged.

Earth. Fire. Air. Water.

For centuries, these four elements have symbolized the forces that shape our world. Originally hand-carved for Elveden Hall in Norfolk during the early 1800s, Haddonstone’s Four Elements statues faithfully preserve the beauty of the originals.

Earth represents abundance. Water symbolizes renewal. Air evokes the heavens. Fire embodies passion and creativity.

Together, they bring history, symbolism, and timeless elegance to the garden.

Which element speaks to you most?

Every Haddonstone piece begins by hand. From carefully preparing the molds to the final finishing touches, each planter, fountain, and ornament passes through the hands of skilled craftspeople who have spent years perfecting their craft.

It’s a slower process by design. One rooted in tradition, heritage, and an appreciation for details that cannot be rushed.

A planter that feels like it’s been part of the garden for centuries. 🤍

This Gothic Urn brings timeless architecture and old-world charm to patios, pathways, and formal gardens alike. Paired with cheerful Shasta daisies, fiery marigolds, and cascading Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’, it creates the perfect balance of structure and softness.

Proof that one beautiful container can completely transform a space.

For centuries, sundials served as one of the world’s earliest ways of tracking time, using nothing more than sunlight and shadow. Long before modern clocks, they were placed in monastery gardens, courtyards, and grand estates as both practical tools and beautiful architectural features.

Today, sundials still bring that same sense of stillness and timelessness to the home garden. More than ornament, they invite you to slow down, notice the changing light, and spend a little more time outdoors.

Placed among flowers, tucked into a courtyard, or featured as a focal point in the landscape, a sundial adds history, structure, and a quiet sense of romance to the garden.

A reminder that gardens were never meant to be rushed. 🌿

The Georgian Bird Bath brings timeless elegance to the garden with its beautifully detailed baluster pedestal, inspired by a historic 16th-century design from architect James Gibbs. More than just a decorative focal point, bird baths help support local birds by providing a reliable source of water for drinking and bathing, especially during the warmer months.
