Breaking: The Farmer’s Almanac is predicting a winter like no other for the East Coast.

Everyone in Delco and the Philadelphia area better get their salt and snow shovels ready because if the Farmer’s Almanac is even halfway right, this winter could be one for the books. Their long range forecast is calling for “above average snowfall”. That could mean there is a major blizzard on the horizon with the potential to bury us under multiple feet of snow.

Imagine for a second, Clifton Heights rowhomes with snowdrifts up to the second floor. Cars completely vanished under a white mountain in Folsom. The Blue Route? Forget about it. It won’t just be backed up… it’ll be GONE.

Remember how the Blizzard of 96 shut down Delco for like a week or two so everyone could dig out. Well if this “above average snowfall” plays out the way the Almanac hints, 96 could look like a walk in the park compared to what’s coming.

The biggest question: Should we start stocking up on milk, bread and eggs? Stay tuned.

As most already know, it has been a hard year for my family. My aunt was recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and it has spread throughout her body. We are having a benefit to help with the costs of treatment, travel, and other related expenses.
There will be a ton of food and lots of raffles!
