💛 A kitchen built for community—and an opportunity that deepened our purpose.

Community Commissary was honored to welcome Chef Scott Crawford into our shared commercial kitchen in Raleigh to prepare for the Freedom Harvest Dinner, supporting Healing Transitions and its incredible work helping people in recovery in our community. 🍽️🤝🏼

When we chose the name Community Commissary, we envisioned a place where food truck owners, caterers, bakers, and culinary entrepreneurs could begin their journeys and grow their businesses. Being part of this meaningful dinner showed us another way our kitchen can serve the community—by supporting those who are helping others rebuild their lives. 💛

We’re grateful to Chef Scott Crawford and Healing Transitions for the opportunity to contribute. These photos capture more than food preparation; they reflect the care, collaboration, and purpose behind every plate.

As Community Commissary grows, so does our inspiration to do more. Supporting culinary dreams will always be at our heart, and we look forward to creating even more opportunities to give back. 🌱

Customers see the truck.

They don't see everything that happens before the service window opens.

A successful food truck needs more than a great menu—it needs a place to prep, produce, clean, organize, and get ready for the next service.

That's what a commissary kitchen is for.
