A Seed Planted Long Ago
Yesterday, I was unexpectedly hit with a flood of emotions as I watched my sonās Grandparents Day celebration. It brought back memories of my own "Granny," and I couldnāt help but reflect on how deeply she shaped my life. So, why am I sharing this? Well, most people donāt know, but sheās the woman who first taught me the beauty and power of growing your own food.
I can still picture us together, her hands steady and gentle as she tended to the tomatoes in her garden. She would smile and say, āAlways plant a seed.ā Those words have stayed with me, and every year, I plant my own garden as a tribute to her.
Now, I get to help my clients set up their own gardensāand let me tell you, thereās something truly magical about it. Thereās a unique kind of joy in watching the first sprout push through the soil, knowing that you're growing something with your own hands. Itās not just about foodāitās about connection. Connecting to our creator, to nature, and to the people we love.
Growing your own food isnāt just a way to nourish your bodyāitās a way to nourish your soul. Every seed you plant carries the potential for something beautiful and abundant. And every garden I help create carries a piece of the wisdom Granny passed down to me.
So, if youāve ever thought about planting a garden, big or small, now is the perfect time to start. Even in the tiniest of spaces, you can grow something meaningful. Itās a simple act that can change the way you see the world and remind you that the small things you nurture today will bloom into something wonderful tomorrow.
Hereās to you, Granny. Your lessons continue to grow with every garden I help createāand I hope they inspire others to plant their own seeds of hope and joy.
