I’m missing my garden this year… the dirt under my nails, the joy of watching something grow. 🌿
But God had other plans, and sometimes, saying ā€œyesā€ to His plans means surrendering ours.

It’s not always easy. But His path? It leads to places I never could’ve dreamed.
I’m learning that when we plant obedience, He brings the harvest—in His time, in His way. šŸ’›

Looking back at this photo of my very first garden on the back patio, I’m reminded how everything starts small. Just a few pots, a few bags of soil, and more hope than know-how.

Fast forward 8 years—and that tiny start has evolved into a thriving, soul-nourishing space. My garden has grown with me: through seasons of trial and error, patience, and unexpected joy. It’s taught me to be present, to observe, and to keep showing up—even when things don’t bloom right away.

I’m sad that this year I’ve had to scale back on my usual garden plans (STAY TUNED for update)

If you’ve been thinking about starting something—anything—this is your sign: JUST START. One plant, one pot, one step. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Growth will come.

A Seed Planted Long Ago

Yesterday, I was unexpectedly hit with a flood of emotions as I watched my son’s Grandparents Day celebration. It brought back memories of my own "Granny," and I couldn’t help but reflect on how deeply she shaped my life. So, why am I sharing this? Well, most people don’t know, but she’s the woman who first taught me the beauty and power of growing your own food.
I can still picture us together, her hands steady and gentle as she tended to the tomatoes in her garden. She would smile and say, ā€œAlways plant a seed.ā€ Those words have stayed with me, and every year, I plant my own garden as a tribute to her.
Now, I get to help my clients set up their own gardens—and let me tell you, there’s something truly magical about it. There’s a unique kind of joy in watching the first sprout push through the soil, knowing that you're growing something with your own hands. It’s not just about food—it’s about connection. Connecting to our creator, to nature, and to the people we love.
Growing your own food isn’t just a way to nourish your body—it’s a way to nourish your soul. Every seed you plant carries the potential for something beautiful and abundant. And every garden I help create carries a piece of the wisdom Granny passed down to me.
So, if you’ve ever thought about planting a garden, big or small, now is the perfect time to start. Even in the tiniest of spaces, you can grow something meaningful. It’s a simple act that can change the way you see the world and remind you that the small things you nurture today will bloom into something wonderful tomorrow.
Here’s to you, Granny. Your lessons continue to grow with every garden I help create—and I hope they inspire others to plant their own seeds of hope and joy.
