A lot fewer new blooms this week, and so many that don’t seem like they’ll bloom this year at all… colder than normal weather and overcrowding are my guessed as to why.
But anyways the new blooms are stunning, and who knows what will happens as it gets warmer!
Please enjoy 😊

Happy Flower Friday!!! Another week, another series of (unusually) late April storms have passed. Looks like they’re finally over, but I’m happy for the cooler temperatures extended our bloom season a bit 💕

Happy Flower Friday! 🥰 So many new blooms this week, despite more rain. Hopefully the blooms survive this weekend, then I would say we’re very close to peak bloom season here (zone 9b near Sacramento, CA).

Happy Flower Friday! Mid week rain and wind beat up the open flowers, but they’re recovering nicely now 💕

The natural evolution of cherries 😉

The bowl contains our English Morello sour cherries, the only cherry tree we have that produced anything this year, but it was a lot! Not quite enough for the pie though, so had to supplement with some store bought sweet cherries, but I’m sure it’s still delicious!

Now if only I could make the pie crust look pretty 😅

Knuckles is my first dog (as an adult). I got her when she was 3 months old, and today she is 13 🥹

Pending shade availability, she’ll be lounging with me in the yards while I continue to fight back the weeds (in back) and remove old stalks and clear the beds (out front).

Working on getting an inventory and website up for selling rhizomes, and clearing the beds is step one. Hopefully we’ll have things ready to sell in July!

Happy (Final) Flower Friday!! On Thursday, apparently 😂

Fitting that the last edition is during my school’s final week. Wish it could be longer, but still thankful for the longer than average season we got!

Over the next two weeks, we’ll be weeding and planning our iris divisions. June 9th marks the start of the summer semester for me, and I’ll need a few weeks to get into the accelerated teaching groove. Hoping to divide starting late June though, so keep an eye out for announcements!

As always, names are with the pictures 😊
