DJEN Leatherworks/Hooks-N-Hides Hand-crafted leather and crochet items. I started this business not only because I enjoy creating these items but because of my folks. God bless ya'll!

My Mom was a long time crafter: painting, ceramics, sewing, and candlewicking were her things. My Dad was a butcher and had his own meat shop in Ramona, Ca, eventually taking that business to Texas. His career began right here in Southern California at Gold Strike Market on Park Ave in Pomona, Ca, a store that was owned by my Grandparents. His shop always smelled of meat, Aramis and leather. g been raised on a ranch, leather was always around and I constantly admired the work done to create saddles, bridles, reins, sheaths, and of course I LOVED the smell! This business not only was created as an outlet for my own creativity, but as a way to honor my folks who showed me that with hard work and determination, all things are possible!
