Over the last year+, we have been slowly picking away at a one-off pair of 1987-1991 Ford F-Series & Bronco door panels whenever time allowed. These original OEM Ford panels underwent extensive restoration and customization work including...

✅ High-gloss piano black trim moldings
✅ Custom-built arm rests upholstered in European leather

From initial disassembly through final assembly, more than 19 hours were invested into the project.

Extensive restoration work has already been completed, and once purchased the remaining color, upholstery, and final assembly work will be completed based on the buyer's selected color and vinyl upholstery choice.

These customer-owned door panels recently went back home after restoration here at the shop. The customer had also sent additional interior parts with them, but we figured we’d showcase the panels since those usually catch the most attention.

Each panel was fully torn down and rebuilt correctly from the inside out using our in-house restoration and refinishing processes. The color was custom mixed in-house from our NOS formula library and sprayed using our professional-grade automotive interior coloring system which has been proven to far outperform typical aerosol and “rattle can” products in durability, flexibility, and long-term performance.

Work completed included:
• Full teardown and rebuild
• Repair of all plastic damage including hairline and micro cracking
• Fabrication and rebuilding of missing plastic sections
• Texture work blended back into repair areas
• Custom mixed OEM color refinishing
• Italian leather upholstery
• New lower carpeting

We get asked all the time in the comments:

“What did that cost?”

The truth is — we can give a number.

We used to.

But over time, we saw exactly what happens when pricing gets put into comment sections.

People don’t read the full context — they grab the number.

That number then gets repeated, compared, and applied to completely different projects where it doesn’t belong.

We’ve seen it firsthand. Projects with completely different conditions, materials, and levels of work get treated like they’re the same — simply because a number was mentioned in a comment somewhere.

On top of that, most of what you see posted are customer-owned parts — not products for sale.
They’re one-off builds done specifically for that person’s vehicle, based on their parts, their condition, and what they wanted done.

Photos also only show so much.

They don’t show everything that went into the project behind the scenes — the repairs, prep work, fabrication, time, or problem-solving that isn’t visible in a finished picture.

So even if a price is given, it doesn’t translate the way people think it does.

That leads to a lot of confusion about what things actually cost.

So we changed how we handle it a long time ago.

We don’t give project pricing in comments, and we don’t base your project on someone else’s.

Instead, we take a few minutes to go over your setup with you directly once we have a submitted estimate request and we work together one on one. That doesn't cost anything but a little but of time.

That allows us to learn about:
• Your specific parts and their condition
• What you want done
• Materials and finish options
• The overall direction of your project

At the same time, it gives you a better understanding of:
• The level of work involved
• The craftsmanship and level of detail we strive to deliver
• The quality of the materials we use and the options available
• How far things can go — from simple upgrades to completely one-off ideas
• What’s possible overall
• What goes into achieving a certain result

Those details matter — a lot.

Even one or two differences can swing a cost slightly or significantly depending on the situation.

That’s why every estimate we build is based on your project, not someone else’s.

And just to be clear — estimates are exactly that: estimates, not guarantees.

But we do everything we can to make them as accurate and honest as possible using the information available at the time.

The goal is always the same:

Give you the most accurate number we can — not one pulled from a completely different build and taken out of context.

Most people think there’s a list of options when it comes to interiors.

There isn’t.

We are a custom interior restoration shop and the word “custom” means exactly that. It’s not picking from a menu. It’s taking an idea, something you’ve seen, something you’ve imagined, or something you’ve never seen anywhere and figuring out how to bring it to life.
That could be:
• A color you’ve never seen in an interior
• A specific color combination or overall theme
• Unique trim patterns or finishes
• Ambient lighting integrated into panels, handles, or other components
• Material combinations
• Leather-wrapped dashboards or parts that were never wrapped from the factory
• Added features or functional upgrades
• Or something completely one-off

The photos in this post are not options... they’re examples.

Every one of them came from somewhere:
• A client’s original idea
• A collaboration between us and the client
• A concept we pitched
• Or inspiration from another build, reworked into something new

None of it is a limit. It’s just examples of what past customers have had us do.

We get asked often if we handle broken plastic — yes we do.

But not all “repairs” are actually repairs.
There’s a difference between covering damage and correcting it. Filling a crack might make it look better for the moment, but it does nothing to restore the integrity of the part.

What we do is different.
Plastic repair and fabrication is one of our specialties, and every repair is approached based on the type of plastic, how it failed, and what it actually takes to rebuild it properly. That comes from understanding the materials, the behavior of different plastics, and the chemistry behind the products being used — not guesswork or one-size-fits-all methods.

The process matters just as much as the result.
We focus on restoring structure first, reinforcing where needed, and finishing it in a way that holds up — not just something that looks good in a photo.

When it’s done correctly, the repair becomes part of the component itself — not something sitting on top of it waiting to fail again.

Most people think interior trim has “options.”
It doesn’t.

What you’ve seen from the factory isn’t what it has to stay as.

We can refinish trim into wood grains, carbon fiber, brushed metals, solid colors, OEM-style looks, or something completely custom — in matte or polished gloss finishes.

There isn’t a set list to pick from.
The pattern, the base color underneath it, and the finish all change how it turns out.
Same pattern ≠ same result.

We can do this on your original trim or on billet parts (which don’t need to stay raw — they become whatever we build).

We use high-end films and supplies with extremely realistic detail — sourced from one of the top suppliers in the industry, even supplying some OEMs. Every piece is finished in-house with top-tier craftsmanship.
