❤️ A Home Left Exposed. A Community That Refused to Look Away. ❤️
Three years.
For three long years, Kristy Muldoon lived with a home that had been abandoned by a contractor who took every dollar she had saved and never finished the job.
After tearing off her siding, they walked away.
No house wrap.
No protection.
Bare walls exposed to the harsh Black Hills weather.
Even the insulation in her attic could be seen from the outside.
Imagine saving for years to improve your home, trusting someone with your hard-earned money, and then being left behind with a project unfinished and no way to recover.
That’s exactly what happened.
When our team learned Kristy’s story through Love Your Neighbor Week, a community outreach effort led by Fountain Springs Church we knew we couldn’t stand by.
Our Sales Team Leader, Danny Delange, partnered with the church to organize something bigger than a construction project.
We organized people.
We organized hope.
We organized a team of Black Hills Exteriors employees who volunteered their time, their skills, and their hearts to help bring this home back to life.
Not because anyone asked us to.
Not because there was profit in it.
But because this is who we are.
At Black Hills Exteriors, we believe a home is more than wood, nails, and siding.
It’s where families feel safe.
It’s where memories are made.
It’s where people deserve peace of mind.
And when one of our neighbors is hurting, we believe we have a responsibility to step in and help when we can.
These are the moments that define our culture.
These are the moments that make us proud.
These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.
When you choose Black Hills Exteriors, you’re choosing a company that stands behind its work. You’re choosing a team that believes people matter. You’re choosing a company that invests back into the communities we serve.
Because giving back isn’t a marketing campaign for us.
It’s not a slogan.
It’s not a checkbox.
It’s woven into our DNA.
It’s our purpose.
It’s what brings us together as a team.
And it’s what makes us proud to call the Black Hills home.
Today, we’re not just installing siding.
We’re restoring trust.
We’re restoring hope.
And we’re helping a neighbor finally close the chapter on a difficult three-year journey.
Thank you to Fountain Springs Church, Danny Delange, our incredible team members, and everyone who continues to prove that when a community comes together, amazing things happen.
❤️ Love your neighbor. Serve your community. Leave people better than you found them.
