Winter is approaching here in New York ❄️

When cold weather hits, sometimes is affects driveways in negative ways. However, there are a few ways to maintain and protect your driveway this winter:

👉🏽 Edge the sides of your driveway to create space for snow drain-off as it melts.

👉🏽 Ensure gutters aren't draining directly onto your driveway.

👉🏽 Avoid parking heavy equipment or vehicles on your driveway for an extended amount of time.

👉🏽 Clean and water-proof your driveway regularly throughout the year. It really does help protect it!

👉🏽 Be extra careful when you shovel your driveway - avoid using a metal shovel, as this can scratch and damage your driveway.

Can you pour asphalt pavement over concrete?

If the concrete pavement is in relatively good shape, the answer is yes. However, sometimes concrete can crack through the asphalt depending on its condition. Alternatively to using asphalt over concrete, we can rebuild your surface completely by removing the concrete and adding brand new asphalt. Just know this will be more expensive!
