A client of mine in Falmouth reached out to me after they had water damage on their basement ceiling. A plumber and then a roofer both worked to find and resolve the leak, and then I was called to patch the ceiling. Rather than squaring up and patching the damaged sections, it made the most sense, from a finishing perspective, to remove all the drywall between the beams and two damaged spots (after first removing the trim). Before I did any work, I laid down some thick 6 mil plastic, and then set up my Zip wall, and HEPA air filter on the inside. After the drywall was removed, I used my lift to install 2 full sheets, and then prefilled, taped, top coat, finish coat, and skim (with sanding between coats). Everything was then primed and painted. The trim was installed, with nail holes filled (then sanded), seam against the ceiling was caulked, and then painted.

This job in Brunswick was rather straightforward: just had to secure shelving to concrete walls, to match shelving that was previously installed. As always, I was very careful with my measuring, layout, and leveling. I used an attachment on my HEPA dust extractor to remove the dust as I was drilling in the concrete to secure the supports for the shelf brackets too. After all the supports and brackets were installed, I cut the melamine shelves for a flush fit.

This job in Bridgton started with replacing 2 ceiling fans, with 2 chandeliers... on a 19.5' ceiling. This was also my first time using the 2nd story of my staging! The fan removal / light installation went well, especially considering the height, and my client took advantage of my staging being up and got a new coat of paint on the walls. Before painting, additional floor protection was put down, walls were spackled where needed and "hot mud" was used on the settling crack on the ceiling. This crack also received an additional coat of joint compound and a light sand. Given the time and ceiling height, my client opted for this over removing the entire inside corner and mudding in a new one. The tall walls on both sides of the stone were then painted and the repair on the ceiling was painted and "feathered" into the existing paint.

A client of mine reached out to me after they had a sauna removed, and discovered that the wall behind the sauna had also been removed (to give the much needed extra few inches when the sauna was initially installed). After cleaning up the cut line in the drywall, I added some framing, and then hung the drywall. Prefill, taping, and finishing the drywall went well, but we had a fun little curveball with the baseboard. The removed piece of baseboard was nowhere to be found, but I did find some scrap door casing; same profile, stain, and finish as the baseboard, but not wide enough. The woodworker in me got super excited to use my portable table saw and rip another piece of door casing (to achieve the total height needed to match the current base), and then I used my Lamello Zeta P2 with Tenso connectors, to provide and internal clamping force to allow for glue up, while not having to spend time in clamps, and be installed immediately. Glue squeeze out was removed, of course, and I would have loved to sanded the joint to near invisibility, but I did not want to have to try to match the stain (and the client was totally fine with this, especially since shelving will be installed in this new space). My client had the wall painted and the newly fabricated baseboard was then installed.

This very exciting job in Portland was my first full kitchen renovation! Demo started with removing tile flooring, a window, and of course, kitchen cabinets and countertop. The window was removed and patched to allow for more lower cabinets to be installed. My client worked with a kitchen designer (always keeping me in the loop) and had custom cabinets ordered. The scope of the project included: demo, framing/insulating/drywalling/ exterior sheathing and installing a faux brick (exterior) to close up where the window was, installing new cabinets (uppers and lowers), drywall patching, painting (walls and trim), flooring (LVP tile), new baseboards, and crown molding on the upper cabinets. The countertops, electrical, and appliances were all done by their respective trades.

This flooring job in Yarmouth took place in my client's finished room above the garage. My client removed all the baseboards before I got started, which was super helpful! I removed all the carpet, padding, and tack strips and then prepped the subfloor (I added some screws where needed, made sure there were no nails popping, and I filled larger divots with floor patch). I then undercut the door jambs, rolled out an underlayment, and then got to work installing the flooring. After all the flooring was down, I installed transitions to the bathroom (I was able to use the previous transition here), to the closet (where the carpeting was not removed), and a nosing / transition on top of the stairs. Finally, baseboards were installed back in place and everything got a good vacuuming!
