A building shaped by change—now designed for it.

Constructed in 1858 at the height of Boston’s shipping economy, the Richards Building is one of the city’s last remaining cast-iron-front façades—an early precursor to the skyscraper.

Over time, it evolved from maritime trade offices to a hub for finance and professional services.

Our work continues that evolution—adapting the structure from commercial use into residential units, balancing preservation with modern living, and giving new life to a landmark piece of Boston’s architectural history.

Excited to share that 1200 Soldiers Field Rd in Allston, MA is now official!
We’re truly happy to be leading the design of this building, where timeless design blends with modern living. With warm earth tones and brick elements that bring character and life, the project blends timeless materials with a modern vision.
This residential building will feature a total of 58 dwelling units, off-street vehicular parking spaces, resident and guest bicycle parking, roof deck terrace and much-needed site, thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable and inspiring place to live.

The 300 unit residential complex is centered around a large green courtyard with an amenity building and pool. The architecture features a modern design with varied building sizes and forms, layered textures, and thoughtfully integrated elements throughout.
