I want to clarify what actually happened for anyone reading this review from Eric Donoho.
You contacted me because your key was already worn and ultimately broke while I was attempting to remove it from the ignition. You also had other people attempt to remove the key before I was called. I came out, successfully removed the broken key, and cut you a replacement key at no cost to you.
I then returned a second time to replace the ignition, but there was a separate issue with the vehicle that prevented the job from being completed as expected.
I returned a third time to program the key, but the vehicleβs battery was dead, so programming could not be completed. I returned a fourth time and successfully programmed the key. Your sister was present, and I showed her the screen confirming that the key had programmed successfully. The vehicle still would not start because of other issues with the vehicle that were unrelated to the key programming.
At no point did I intentionally break your key or take advantage of you. The $120 you owe is for services rendered. Your sister initially asked to pay on the 1st and then changed that to the 3rd after I explained that it was already the 1st.
I have made multiple trips to this vehicle and have repeatedly attempted to help resolve the situation. I stand behind the work I performed. You are absolutely entitled to leave whatever review you feel is appropriate, but I believe anyone reading it should also have the complete and accurate timeline of what actually happened.
