HAVE YOU HEARD? Exchange club of Redding is hosting Oktoberfest @ Tiger field!

Do you like beer? What about listening to lively bands and dancing? Do you like to support collegiate baseball? How about raising money for Special Olympics, Peace Officer of the Year Awards, and local high school students who work diligently towards their goals?

Our club has found a way to bring the community together to HAVE FUN, while raising money to support local organizations throughout the year.

We invite YOU to join us on October 5th for an evening of camaraderie, live music, and supporting local businesses and organizations at a traditional German/Bavarian themed event. All while enjoying one of your favorite cold beers on tap!

Featuring: Woody's Brewing Co.craft beers, and other familiar favorites.

We LOVE to collaborate with our customers and customize a fence design that will serve a variety of needs. Whether it is an appeal to their aesthetics, budget, practical needs, county regulations, or logistics (sometimes all of the above!), we enjoy working together to come up with the perfect plan. This project (pictured) was a great opportunity to create a unique and beautiful fence inspired by our customer’s needs.

Branden and I have been getting involved with a fun little passion project of ours, and I have a feeling there are a few more of you that would also love to join in. Whiskeytown Environmental School (yes, the WES camp from your favorite childhood memory) is officially in the rebuild and updating process after the Carr fire intruded on their beautiful campus, which resulted in very limited operability over the last few years.

Want to hear the good news?!? The fundraising, the logistics, the permitting, the planning, the park service, and the people are coming together and things are MOVING FORWARD!!!🎉

While the Amphitheater reconstruction project is in the works, there have been a few other projects around campus that have needed some extra hands to make it happen. This coming Saturday (6/29) is the next volunteer day, where the sand barriers need to be deconstructed and the sand moved offsite. Branden and I will be out there with our mini excavator and dump trailer, but many hands are needed to move sand in areas that we cannot access with the equipment. The sand was put in place shortly after the Carr Fire for flooding and debris flow.

If you can’t make it to this volunteer day, but are interested in possibly helping in the future, please follow Whiskeytown Environmental School Community for updates on their progress, upcoming events, and other ways to lend a hand or donate to the rebuild.

My hope is to see WES camp fully operable and thriving by the time my girls are at the right age for the overnight camp. This is such a hidden gem we have here in Shasta County and I want to help keep the tradition alive!

Did you miss the last chance to Volunteer? 🧹 How about this month on June 29th between 8:00AM and noon at WES? Come help move the protective sand barriers that were put in place to protect campus after the Carr Fire. Yippee!! Go to this signup sheet and the NPS Volunteer Ambassador, Tyler Fuller, will count you in. And we would love to count you in for lunch and a tour of campus afterwards!

One of our favorite moments after completing this backyard project was when the customer was able to finally let their dogs off the leashes, and we were able to watch the pups run around with their newfound freedom enjoying their best life. 🐾
