Interior finish selections on are well on their way! We are in love with this elongated hexagon tile! Speaking of interiors...have you met our Interior Specialist? Whitney and I have been working together in business and life for the past 21 years. Not only does she run the practical business end of Quinn Lowry Architect but her unique design sense and patience with me ;) make her the heart of our business and home.

“God Is In The Details” is a phrase made well known by renowned architect Mies van der Rohe. I believe it's true that God himself found great joy in the details. Imagine our world without them. Consider the flower. A seemingly ordinary occurrence on our planet; until you take a closer look. God could have made one flower...a Dandelion perhaps, a simple, beautiful flower, and spread it throughout the earth. Maybe even painting them a rainbow of different colors. But he didn't. He planted thousands of various types of flowers all with exquisite uniqueness. And our world is more beautiful because of the detail of each flora and fauna. Each magnificent in its own way. Each in glorious detail. .
I am often asked why someone should choose an architect to design their home, rather than using a less expensive option like a draftsman. And the honest truth is that they don't need to hire an architect...that is...if they are content with living in the same Dandelion as everyone else. A Dandelion might be your favorite flower but if a Calla Lilly or Bird of Paradise or a Rose are more your style, an architect will help you define that style and execute it properly. An architect will protect the integrity of the details of a building that so often get forgotten or left out. Architect Jim Eyre wrote “An ingenious concept is not enough on its own. Indeed, in my view, however striking the concept, it will stand or fall on the quality of its detailing.”
