A couple weeks ago, my mom and I sat on the couch flipping through old photos of my childhood home, laughing about blue carpet, wallpaper borders, and light fixtures that are somehow back in style again.
But looking through those photos reminded me of something deeper:
My mom didn’t just make a pretty home. She made a place where I could grow, create, make mistakes, laugh loudly, dream freely, and become myself.
The older I get, the more I realize that home isn’t really about having everything perfect. The paint colors will change. Furniture will wear out. Trends will come and go.
But the moments created there? Those are the things that stay with us.
So whatever your home looks like right now, remember this: the home you make matters.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
