I needed this reminder today.☀️

We fill our schedules the same way we fill our spaces, and before we know it there's no room left to just...exist. But making space for nothing is so important!

And by the way, you don't have to earn a slow morning. But sometimes you have to decide on a day to make sure it actually happens.

When's the last time you had one?

This client’s guest bedroom had become a place where random objects went to be forgotten. She wanted to reclaim this room, and we gave it a whole new purpose that works better for her lifestyle: a combo exercise/office space.

Here’s how we got there:

👉 Step 1: Identified and pulled out anything that was trash or didn’t belong.

👉 Step 2: Categorized everything that was staying.

👉 Step 3: Created zones so everything has a home and is easy to find and grab.

The drop zone days are over. 😄

We've all been there. 😂

This is why we declutter first, THEN shop. You might be surprised how much you already have to work with.

Froze it, tried to scrape it, thought I was done. I was not. 🙃

So I grabbed an iron on low heat and sandwiched the tablecloth between two sheets of parchment paper, one on top, one underneath, and slowly ironed over it.

The wax transfers right onto the parchment and lifts right out of the fabric.

Tablecloth saved!!

Has this happened to you? Save this for the next dinner party emergency.

Memorial Day sales are a great time to replace the things you use every single day but never think to upgrade. Think: the stuff that's been hanging on way past its prime.

You know the towels I'm talking about.

What's on your list this weekend? ✨

This closet had become a catch-all and my amazing client couldn’t find anything. We pulled everything out, edited it down, and gave each shelf one clear purpose.

👉 Top shelves: linens only. Towels, sheets, and extra bedding. We left breathing room too since a lot was still in the laundry. Guest linens that don’t get used weekly are now tucked into the client’s own space bags (found during the edit!) and living under the bed in bins.

👉 Lower shelves: everything else. Personal care, toiletries, first aid, travel items, all labeled and contained so nothing gets lost again.

One closet, finally doing its true job. ❤️

Spring is a time of renewal and is a great chance to reset your home. And you don't have to do a full overhaul either - these very small seasonal updates can help accentuate the season in the best way.

One thing I'd add: Go through your throw blankets and pillows. Swap out the heavy, cozy winter ones for something lighter. It sounds small but it genuinely changes how a room feels the second you walk in. ✨

Pen mark on a cream chair. Watch this!

Not a pen mark on my cream chair that I’ve had for years!! 👀

I won’t pretend I wasn’t stressed. But I grabbed some rubbing alcohol, took a breath, and went for it.

It came out. COMPLETELY.

Rubbing alcohol is one of those things I always have on hand and it never stops coming through for me.

Save this one in case you need it someday! ❤️

Do you know your closet needs a purge, but worried about feeling overwhelmed? Ask yourself these open-ended questions as you make decisions about what to keep and what to give away. You deserve to feel good in your clothes, and to have stress-free mornings getting dressed, too!

That last one gets people every time. We hold onto so much for a hypothetical version of ourselves, and meanwhile the closet is full and nothing feels wearable. You have permission to let those things go!

And if you're not quite ready, consider placing both clothing from the past and clothing for the future in a well-labeled storage bin.

Save this for your next closet edit session. And if you want a little help getting through it, that's exactly what I'm here for. Send me a message! ❤️

This client’s laundry room had so much storage hiding underneath all those boxes. They block cupboard access and take up a lot of space. Unboxing and recycling is often the first thing to go when I start working with someone. Once those was cleared, the whole system fell into place.

Which room in your house is making a simple task feel harder than it should be? 🤔
