This appears to be a listing for a prefabricated wooden A-frame house kit priced at $39,000.

From the image alone, here's what I can tell:

Structure: An A-frame cabin with engineered timber framing already erected.
Foundation: Built on a raised stone/concrete foundation, which is likely not included in the kit.
Construction stage: The frame is assembled, but roofing, insulation, windows, doors, electrical, plumbing, and interior finishes have not yet been installed.
Size: It looks roughly in the 600–1,200 sq ft (55–110 m²) range, though the exact dimensions can't be determined from the image.
Design: Large front opening for floor-to-ceiling glass and a loft area typical of A-frame homes.
If the $39,000 is just for the kit, it typically includes:
Pre-cut structural timber
Roof rafters and wall framing
Hardware and fasteners
Assembly plans

It often does not include:

Foundation
Roof covering (metal shingles/panels)
Windows and doors
Insulation
Electrical and plumbing
Interior finishes
Delivery
Crane or installation labor
Permits
Is $39,000 a good price?

It depends on what's included:

Good deal: If the kit includes engineered lumber, windows, doors, and roofing materials.
Average: If it's only the structural shell.
Expensive: If it's just the framing lumber.

Fall 🍁

Bungalows were affordable kit homes (Sears sold thousands for $900-$2,000), easy to maintain, and designed around how families actually lived: no formal parlors, no wasted hallways. That practicality is why they remain some of the most sought-after starter homes today.
