We are honored to receive two 2024 Design Awards from the AIA San Mateo County for our commercial projects in Silicon Valley.

The first of the two awards is an Honor Award for 726 Main Street. An adaptive reuse interiors project located in Redwood City, 726 Main Street created a striking modern office space while celebrating the richness of the historic structure's original character —through the integration of transparency and contrasting contemporary materials.

Thanks to AIA San Mateo and its 2024 Design Awards jury (Tim Culvahouse, FAIA; Laura Hartman, FAIA; and Rudabeh Pakravan, AIA) for honoring our firm with two awards, including a Citation Award for 2515 El Camino.

2515 El Camino is a land development project in Palo Alto that transformed a one-acre site into a dynamic, mixed-use environment—featuring townhomes, retail and office space set in a new pedestrian friendly landscape—designed to enhance the urban experience and connect to the Cal Ave commercial district a block away.

Restoring and enhancing this English Tudor home was a decade-long partnership between passionate owners, skilled craftspeople, and Hayes Group Architects.

This 1934 home is a Gardner Dailey design. Our work added geothermal heating & cooling, seismic upgrades and fire sprinklers. We rebuilt a failing rear terrace and balcony, altered portions of the home which were not faithful to the original design, and restored beautiful finishes, millwork and windows throughout. We’re proud of the many skilled partners who worked together on this unique home.

Hayes Group Architects is pleased to share photos from their annual Inverness weekend retreat. After a successful year, it was wonderful to come together, relax and enjoy a beach day, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. Each evening we sat down together for dinner, shared good drinks, tasty food and conversations by the fire light. The annual ping pong tournament was intense this year but happily enjoyed by all. Thank you Hayes Group team, family and friends for joining Inverness 2023.
