After a couple of days of effort, all my wares are moved into a shiny new trailer! Just in time for show season 🙌 Now I just need to move in the rest of my display items.

Last year I was part of a team that worked hard on a large order of bowls (925 to be exact), and this trailer is fruit of that labor. I'm so thankful for a rewarding job that I love, and to have amazing support, confidence and friendship with my employers Charity Hildebrand & Joel Hildebrand 💖

Makena is always keen to help on such projects, of course 🤣

Similar to the shell piece I posted yesterday, the first 'relief carving' piece I made was a soap dispenser for my husband's bathroom. During the last woodfiring, another piece tipped over and became fused to mine just below the head of the fish. Woodfiring is fraught with potential issues, but it is that same high-stress environment that produces such amazing results. Kind of like life, eh?! 💗 I was able to sand off much of the fused clay, and now this piece has a great story ✨️
