🔥 THE HANDY NEVADAN — HAWK FIRE COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE

Northern Nevada has supported The Handy Nevadan for many years, and now we have an opportunity to support our neighbors during this difficult time.

I wish I could do more and help every family affected, but right now The Handy Nevadan is able to commit $1,000 to help 10 local households directly impacted by the Hawk Fire. Each selected household will receive a $100 gift card for groceries, gas, Walmart, Target or another essential need.

HOW TO REQUEST ASSISTANCE:

If your household has been directly affected—or you would like to nominate someone who has—please send our business page a private message containing:

• A brief explanation of how the fire affected the household
• The general neighborhood or evacuation area
• The type of gift card that would help most

Please do not post addresses, identification, documents or other personal information in the comments. Any necessary verification will be handled privately, respectfully and confidentially.

Assistance is limited to 10 verified households, and submitting a request does not guarantee selection. Recipients will be considered based on verified impact and immediate need—not likes, comments or shares.

In the future, if your home was affected by the Hawk Fire and you need repairs, please contact The Handy Nevadan. We will do our best to offer a discount or work with you on a reasonable solution whenever possible. Every situation and project will be evaluated individually based on the work required and our availability.

No purchase, payment, donation, like or share is required. The Handy Nevadan will never request banking information, passwords, payment or gift-card numbers. Please be cautious of fake or impersonating accounts.

Recipients will never be required to take photographs or publicly share their stories. Our purpose is simply to help our neighbors—not to place anyone’s hardship on display.

What do you mostly do?

That’s one of the most common questions I get, and honestly, it’s hard to answer.

One day I’m cutting into stucco to install a dog door. The next day I’m removing wallpaper from a ceiling and repainting it. Then I might be cutting granite to fit a new stove, repairing a fence, removing a bird’s nest and installing bird spikes, replacing doors, or tackling a completely different project.

I don’t really have one specialty—I specialize in helping people solve problems and complete projects. Every day is different, and that’s one of the things I love most about this work.

I’m thankful for every customer, every new relationship, and every opportunity God provides. Thank You, Jesus, for keeping me busy and allowing me to serve others through the work of my hands.
