🌳 Don’t Forget to Water Your Trees This Winter! 🚰

This winter in Reno has been especially dry, which can be hard on your trees. Even though they are dormant , they still need water to stay healthy and grow well when spring comes around.

Here’s why it’s important to water your trees in winter:

- Tree roots are still active: Even during the colder months, the roots of your trees are still growing below the surface and need water to stay strong and not dry out.

- Dry soil can stress trees: The dry winter air and cold winds can suck moisture out of the soil, leaving your trees thirsty.

- Stronger trees in spring: Trees that get enough water in winter will be healthier and ready to grow well in spring.

What to do: On a warmer day when temperatures are above freezing, give your trees a good soak. Water slowly and deeply around the edges of the tree’s branches, not directly at the trunk.
