Most homeowners ask the wrong first question. "Is a security system worth it?" is too vague to answer.

The question we ask instead: how many minutes a week do you spend mentally checking the house? Driving back to see if the garage is down. Asking the spouse if the back door is locked. Lying in bed wondering if you armed the alarm. Add it up honestly. That number, every week, for the life of your house and that's what you're buying back.
