Brazilian born, Miami-raised, long time Brooklynite and current resident of NY’s Hudson Valley, Ana Claudia is just as eclectic and diverse as her background. Her creation of thoughtful, contemporary interiors is an amalgamation of design styles incorporating eclectic vibrancy through modern, contemporary, and transitional elements. Clients’ needs are frequently met with custom pieces and out of t

he box solutions. The objective is to create a space that feels natural to the client yet is stylistically energized and fresh. Because “It’s about how you feel the moment you walk in the door.” An Architecture graduate of Florida International University, Ana Claudia worked in architecture for nearly a decade before realizing her true passion, interior design. Her interiors have been featured in such publications as Cultered, Goop, Rue Magazine, Domino Magazine, House Beautiful and HGTV. Ana Claudia is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Brick & Wonder, and Interior Collab. She co-owns Rhinebeck’s design gallery The Beck with her husband Aaron Smyle.

BRINGING THE OLD AND BELOVED LIGHTING FROM THE PAST TO THEIR NEXT 100 YEARS OF LIFE.

Moxie Sparks finds that older lighting is made so well thought out and durable. The machining process was smart and of high quality. Things were built to last, and while style and beauty mattered, quality of work was always paramount.

With all that said, wiring and bulbs couldn't match those other areas. Their passion and focus are on letting the illumination and wiring add a modern, safe touch to the bodies of old.

So when they found a style of past lighting they were drawn to, they redid the interiors to bring everything up to date and did our best to preserve the outer shells in their original style and look.

It's so much fun designing and creating custom furniture for our projects!

We're loving how the swivel chairs came together for our Hillsdale project — and don't get us started on the almost 25' media room sectional we custom-built for Saugerties.

Custom pieces like these let us dial in scale, comfort, and character in a way off-the-shelf furniture just can't.

Don't you love a good before and after? This one's from our Pawling project.

We added custom 11'-high millwork for extra storage, swapped the old vents for sleek flush vents, and painted the walls and ceiling contrasting colors. The headboard wall got a custom@jillmalek wallpaper treatment, and we finished it off with an upholstered bed and swing-arm sconces for reading in bed.

Layers do the work in this room.

We built depth through texture—a woven trellis rug, silk taffeta curtains, and a quilted coverlet —all in the same tonal palette but never flat. Then we brought in a moody floral chair and a chocolate velvet bed to warm up the cool tones and add contrast.

Timeless. Calming. Very much our client.

The talent in the Hudson Valley is limitless — and is one of our favorites. He's built a custom table to fit our Tennessee client's kitchen island corner in place of a traditional counter overhang, a custom coffee table sized to pair with ottomans made by for our Accord project, and brutalist-inspired counter stools for our 2025 Kingston Design Showhouse kitchen.

Every piece is made to fit the space exactly as we envisioned it.
