Parmeter and Sons Construction LLC We are a second generation, family owned construction company who believes in building a quality product, in adequate time at a fair price.

Parmeter & Sons Construction evolved from an idea which my wife, Mary, started talking about several years ago while our family was on our annual vacation in northern Minnesota. We had continued talking about this idea off and on, several times a year and it has now become a reality. I am actually going back to my first career after retiring from a 29 year career in law enforcement. I began workin

g in the building trades while in high school in the 1960s, and after spending 5 years going through the carpenter apprentice program in Minneapolis in the early 70s, I went into law enforcement. During my 29 year career in law enforcement I continued working in the carpentry field both on my own and for several different contractors. I have built several homes in the Rhinelander area over the past 30 years and have completed a host of smaller projects for many satisfied customers. Although I was not blessed with any sons, we were blessed with two wonderful daughters who married two great sons-in-law. Dan married our youngest daughter and him and myself enjoy building and are the backbone of the company. Dan has 15 years of experience in the building trades, with extensive experience with log structures, siding of all kinds and a good working knowledge of residental architecture in general. After all my years in public service and my years of building experience I have found numerous highly skilled, professional tradesmen that have worked well with me through the years. These professionals will assist us in providing you with a full service residential general contracting group that you can count on. Parmeter and Sons Construction builds quality homes, garages, decks, porches, cabins, etc. We do it the "right way" at a fair price. Our reputation depends on it! We are a fully insured company. We look forward to working with you now and in the future. We service the greater Rhinelander area but are always willing to look at and talk about any project within a reasonable distance.

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge some of the amazing work officers with the Rhinelander Police Department are doing that you may not hear about.

On June 16, 2026, at 11:55 p.m. Officers Adam Merrill and Connor Johnson responded to an emergency call for service involving a driver of a vehicle having a medical emergency. In under a minute, Officer Johnson was on-scene administering CPR to the individual. Officer Merrill arrived shortly after and took turns administering CPR until Rhinelander EMS arrived on scene. Officer Merrill drove the ambulance to the hospital allowing EMS personnel to give their full attention to the patient. Due to their actions, the gentleman was able to make a full recovery.

For that, they were both nominated by Rhinelander Police Department Sgt. Angela Welch for the Life Saving Award and on July 28, 2026, I had the privilege to present both with the Life Saving Award pin.

I am honored to work alongside the members of the Rhinelander Police Department, and you should be proud to have them watching over our community! - Josh Chiamulera, Chief of Police
