This was a fun job! I got to stage this sunroom after all of the remodeling was completed. It was a sunroom/multi-purpose space that got a new roof, windows and insulation before the new wallboards went on along with their new ceiling fan/light. I got to do the fun job of staging the room, along with my very efficient assistant, grandson Simon! :)
We were given full permission to set up the room however we wanted. We added furniture by shopping-around-the-house. Found lamps and grabbed all of the houseplants we could find. After putting things in place and rearranging them several times we ended up with a sunroom that was ready for the family to bring home their new born son and relax in and enjoy! I have to say this was a favorite job from this season!

This is my most recent organizing job. Another shed project. Couldn't walk in the door without climbing over a mound of items, but thanks to our "Team", the shed got emptied, sorted, organized, purged, containerized, labeled and put back in assigned places in the shed. Some items got donated and others stored in their correct locations. Job well done and just in time for the next big outreach event! No guessing where to find anything they need for the weekend.😀

Spring is here and it is important to remember that our outdoor sheds and buildings also need some spring cleaning.
This is a garden shed I got to reorganize for a friend.
#1 - Empty the spaces and put items in LIKE categories
#2 - Purge unwanted, broken items & items to be donated
#3 - Clean & Sweep out spaces
#4 - Containerize and return items to their new home

This is a post for the creative person who loves to use Washi Tape. I used to wonder what such a tiny roll of decorative tape could be used and good for, but since that uneducated thought a couple years ago, I now know there are endless ways to use Washi Tape!! :)
This container works well to store similar colors, patterns and seasons together and is easy to stack and get tiny rolls out to use and put away.

Today is National Old Stuff Day. It is always observed on March 2nd. Celebrate it by doing some Decluttering.

Take a look at your home. What areas or rooms are in need of DECLUTTERING, a little or a lot? Whenever we can 'Quiet' a space by taking out what isn't needed or doesn't belong, it 'quiets' the room and gives a more peaceful feeling to it.

Sometimes we aren't making decisions with our own items, but with a loved one or after a loved one has passed away. These photos are some old things that got new homes as we DECLUTTERED a loved one's estate.

This Art Room has plenty of storage space for everything that needs a home. The challenge was gathering all of the small, random containers and sorting the good, useable supplies into larger containers to grab from as needed.

Before containerizing all of the like items, it was important to purge supplies that were not fresh and in good working order to make sure art time is fun & successful for the students.

It is always best to use containers that stack together well and use the space most efficiently. I find that different shaped and sized containers works well for specific supplies. Using clear containers when possible is helpful for a quick-see of what is inside and always labeling containers is a wise decision, especially when multiple people use the space.

This room has all of its supplies easily accessible, and can be put away in a timely fashion. It is ready for some creative fun!

I am hopping on today to say Happy Sunny Tuesday to everyone. I haven't posted for a long time, but that doesn't mean I haven't had opportunities to do some organizing.

This was a fun job I recently got to do. It involved some consulting and also some organizing to help set up this resource room that is used by several technicians. It needs to be a user friendly space for multiple people. Ideally the resources need to be easily accessible and easy to put things away to keep the room functioning well.

~First thing on a job like this, each container needs sorting, catergorizing and a purging of broken and inappropriate items. ~Next, each container needs its own "home" on the shelving. This job also needed grouping the containers and items by appropraite skill levels.
~The final step was making sure containers were labeled correctly so technicians can quickly see what is inside to gather needed resources and to put them away afterward.

I really enjoyed helping on this project and look forward to watching the learning center continue to grow!
