This top soil comes straight from our farm. The topsoil is good for grass, lawns, and yards. If you pick it up, it is $30 per ton, an average pickup truck load.

My husband was a professional commercial and residential landscaper for 30 years. He has perfected topsoil mixed with compost for flower beds, fruit trees, shrubs, and raised vegetable beds. If you pick it up, it is $45 per ton, an average pickup truck load.

1 cubic yard is 1.4 tons.

We deliver in 3 ton increments. Delivery charges are based on mileage. Please provide your address, or the address of a nearby business or neighbor, for us to determine mileage and prepare your quote.

Delivery and pick-up times are weather dependent. To schedule a pick-up time, please call my husband at 423-435-1465. He handles that part of it.

SIMPLE SPRITZER REPELLENT 🌿

Combine the following in a 2-ounce bottle:

4 tablespoons of distilled water
2 teaspoons of vodka

CONTAINER WATERING - HOW TO
(from Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program)

Watering seems simple, but the way you water can actually have a big impact on how plant roots grow.

Frequent light watering, such as emptying a small cup into a plant every day, encourages roots to grow near the top of your pot in soil that can easily dry out. Infrequent heavy watering encourages roots to grow down towards the bottom of your pot where it's less likely to dry out.

Establish good watering practices now and help your plants grow deep roots to sustain them through the summer!
