Sometimes Mother Nature knows best!

This is a dead honey bee. The pollen on her legs is from dandelions. Her tongue is sticking out due to what killed her that was on the dandelions.
It’s spring, dandelions are the bees first food. This bee is dead from w**d killer spread on what we see as w**ds, but what nature sees as food. Please don’t spray for w**ds until you see the blackberries blooming. In this area, w**ds, flowers and fruit trees are bees only source of food until middle of June. There are FAR more w**ds than flowers or fruit trees, so it's their only food source. No bees, no food crops for us and we all starve.

FEED THE BIRDS

Benefit of planting native berry trees, shrubs, and vines means migratory birds will have plenty to eat to stay strong for their journey home. Plant diverse fruiting species in your landscape to attract a wide variety of birds such as bluebirds, cardinals, flycatchers, grosbeaks, mockingbirds, towhees, thrushes, warblers, and waxwings. Let us know your favorite berry species in your yard. ~ tw

🌟Feeling grateful that despite the stall of our 2020 activities and fundraisers we where still able to donate philanthropically at the end of the year our usual $1000 to a variety of organizations including 🌟Gateway Greening, 🌟Tower Grove Park, 🌟Brightside STL, 🌟Missouri Coalition for the Environment, 🌟Missouri Parks Association, 🌟Wreaths Across America and 🌟Heifer International.

We also chose additionally to donate another $1000 to share between 🌟Operation Food Search and 🌟 STL Food Bank.

Because of the support of our local community we were able to give back, keep local and share outward.

👨🏽‍🌾 We hope to offer our annual fundraising plant sale again this spring, 🌸stay tuned!
