This is the result of planting natives. No fewer than 14 Monarch caterpillars on the Gomphocarpus physocarpus (that’s Hairy Balls Milkweed, y’all)! Just plant natives already.

Instead of no-mow May, how about adding native plants to reduce the size of your lawn?

NoMowMay is a catchy concept, but it doesn’t provide the food that native North American pollinators need or lasting support for them.

Got leaves? 🍁 USE THEM! Or in this case, use your neighbor’s leaves! Fallen leaves are immensely beneficial in a myriad of ways, including as the base for creating new native pollinator beds in suburbia. We hope that this trend will catch on once the neighborhood sees the beautiful beds filled with locally native plants and grasses and all the life that comes with them. Stay tuned for how this run-of-the-mill yard turns into a colorful, joyful life-filled pollinator magnet! Talk about curb appeal!
