A quiet moment of gratitude ✨

This weekend I received a Volunteer Leadership Award from the VCU Alumni Council, and I’ve been reflecting on how connected the different parts of my life truly are.

A lot of people know me through Cairo + Bliss, but community-building has always been a meaningful part of who I am. Whether I’m creating scent experiences, helping shape Alumni Weekend, or building spaces where people feel welcomed and connected, the heart behind it is the same.

Creativity. Leadership. Storytelling. Experience. Connection.

None of these worlds exist separately for me. They continuously pour into one another, and I’m grateful for every space that allows me to create with purpose.

Still on a high from VCU Black Alumni Weekend. The fellowship! The culture! The new memories made! So proud to be a ram!

We debuted our 2nd VCU candle at the Block Party. "On the James" is our love letter to VCU. Scent notes are to***co, floral, greenery, cedarwood and patchouli - honoring the rich and storied history of this area.
