Giving back has long been part of the holiday tradition at Interactive Resources, Inc. This year, we were proud to partner with our client, the YMCA of the East Bay's Richmond Parkway YMCA Early Learning Center. Through this initiative, we provided educational books and gifts to 54 toddlers through pre-K students—helping to support and empower children and families in Richmond. We also treated the center’s dedicated teachers and staff to a buffet lunch and gift cards as a small token of our appreciation for their hard work and commitment.

This effort reflects what we value most: meaningful partnerships, community investment, and creating opportunities that make a real difference. We’re grateful to the YMCA team for their collaboration and shared commitment to early childhood education. The Richmond Parkway YMCA location holds a special connection for us, as our firm designed the Early Learning Center classrooms.

At Interactive Resources, our employees are at the heart of this tradition, and we’re proud to match all employee contributions to maximize our collective impact. Our staff purchased and hand-wrapped more than 400 gifts together over the course a month! Together, we’re helping make the holiday season brighter—and supporting a strong start for the next generation. We took the whole office on a field trip today by train from Richmond to Sacramento to tour the just completed $180 million renovation and modernization of the Jesse Unruh State Office Building. Interactive Resources was a building envelope and warerproofing design subconsultant to Treanor who was the lead architect on the progressive design-build project teamed with Perkins + Will for interiors and DPR as the general contractor. Kim Butt, project architect from Treanor was a great tour guide! We were also joined by Cecilia Butt, who is on break from her sophomore year at UC Santa Cruz (not studying architecture).

This building along with the Library and Courts building and the State Capital make up the historic California State Capital complex. The building houses the California State Treasurers Office.
