Hey friends! I am helping organize a march to City Hall for the next city council meeting alongside some incredible folks I met at . Please consider joining us for either or both of these events & share this graphic to help us get the word out!

MAY 7 - POSTER & BUTTON MAKING: Drop by the .theory shop anytime between 5-7:30PM to help make signs & buttons or just offer some moral support!

MAY 11 - Join neighbors, families, advocates, and community leaders as we march in solidarity for change. We will gather at the Richmond Public Library (101 E Franklin St) and walk together to City Hall (0.7 mi), where a City Council meeting will be taking place at 6:00PM. Our presence is a call to action, urging local officials to prioritize pedestrian safety, traffic calming, and infrastructure that protects all who use our streets. If you can’t join for the march, consider meeting us at City Hall by 6pm!

Oh man, what is there to say about 8 years. It’s wild to think back on those early days of making candles in my tiny kitchen (my kitchen is still tiny, I just don’t make candles there anymore), setting up at farmers markets or events every weekend (sometimes twice a weekend), and having folks drop off their candle refills outside my apartment door (LOL). I was 22 when I started Sun Theory. 22!! It’s sweet to think about how I have grown and evolved as a business and as a human before you all. I like to think I’m a lot better at making candles now too hehe. I think in a lot of ways I still feel very at the beginning of it all. It’s really cool to think about that. Thanks for being here. I mean it. It’s such a privilege that this gets to be my job and I don’t take it for granted for one second. I’ll be here as long as yall will have me ✌🏼

PS My friend, took this photo of me in the shop this past November. We first met at 22 around the time I started Sun Theory when we were working a job that... well let’s just say the highs were high and the lows were low (the highs being that I met so many of my nearest & dearest friends to this day there). But, look how far we’ve come!!

Happy Aquarius Season ♒️ this is one of my absolute favorite scents in the Astrology collection, but maybe I’m just biased as an Aquarius moon 🌙

Expect refreshing top notes of eucalyptus, sage, and lemon blended with a heart of fig and rose that finishes with a clean, soft base of amber & musk.

There are a lot of ways to enjoy our Astrology candles. While a lot of people gravitate towards their sun sign, it’s always worth checking out the other signs in your chart. Personally, I just like to burn whatever season we are currently in!

Adding a few more scents to the rotation this year 🕯️

#2 & #3 will be ready next month and #1 will arrive around the springtime.

With the arrival of new flames comes the retirement of old favorites. That’s the cycle of life, baby. We will be saying farewell to Here & Now and Citron Solace (if you like this scent, I think you will like #2!). I have a bit of inventory left so now would be the time to stock up & I will continue doing refills for these scents while supplies last 🫶🏼

Don’t be shy, if you swing by the shop in the coming weeks I’ll give you a sneak peek at our newest scents! 🤍

Thanks to you we were able to refill over 500 candles in 2025! This includes all of your own vessels you’ve brought in for me to refill and the 8oz jars you brought back to swap for a new one. That’s over 500 vessels that would have otherwise ended up in the trash!

A huge thank you to for being our southside drop off location! We would not have reached 500 without you.
