Bring the outdoors in! Hillview Design Collaborative works on all kinds of projects such as new homes, remodels, additions, and custom elements like stairways & built-ins.
One feature that gets requested often is screened porches & sunrooms. These spaces are the perfect way to extend the seasons and enjoy the outdoors when the weather or bugs are less than enjoyable. Our crew here in Richmond recently finished a sunroom addition, then moved next door to do one for the neighbor. All while the crew in Hinesburg is working on a whole house build with a screened porch overlooking the future pool.

As we get closer to spring, we thought it might be good to reach out and let our followers know more about us. We imagine you or your clients may be making decisions about possible renovations or new builds. Hillview Design specializes in residential design work ranging from new homes to remodels and additions. Even the more detailed areas of a project such as stairs and built-ins. Everyone in our office began their career as a carpenter, which makes our designs attractive but also practical. We keep the plans we produce as approachable as possible. Our design software allows us to generate 3D images that help clients visualize interior and exterior spaces. We also have a build team that falls within a half hour of Richmond, but we do design work all over the state and beyond. We also work with a lot of builders both inside and outside our radius.

Hillview Building Company is looking for experienced carpenters to join our team.

We are a small team of architects, designers and experienced builders specializing in custom high performance new homes and renovations. Our design firm provides services to residential projects throughout the northeast but we try to limit our own construction projects to our local area. We all participate at different levels and value the connection between design and hands-on construction experience.

New members on our team should value efficiency, quality craftsmanship, and enjoy learning! There is room to enhance your experience level and the opportunity for more responsibilities commensurate with that experience.

Requirements:
-Two to three years’ experience is preferred.
-You should have your own basic hand and power tools as well as a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
-Solid references
-Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Our Huntington project is coming together! We’ve done pine shiplap with cedar shingle details in the past. Here we have cedar shiplap and shingles. Cheers to a few more warm days!

What a great run we’ve had so far! The last few years have held so many fun design and building projects for us. Of the following, some are Hillview designed and built by others and some are Hillview designed AND built. It takes a community to build a house, and we’re thankful for amazing clients, fantastic subcontractors, wonderful building crews, and reliable suppliers.
