Today, 4/26/2026, William's Handcrafted turns 10 years old. For starting this right after high school, I'm extremely proud to have reached this milestone. However, at 19, I didn't know that 65% of small business fail by year 10. I didn't know how hard it was to build a team or grow a company. And, I didn't know how rewarding it could be to build quality company with great people.
None of this would have been possible without the tremendous support of so many people-
My God, Jesus- for being the firm foundation on which to build on. It's only through Him that any of this is possible.
My parents: for trusting me to forgo college and learn a trade. And for finding new cabinetry projects when the work got slow. And literally countless other things.
My mentor Haley Pearsall: for taking me under his wing and being my biggest fan. Everyone needs an encourager and a mentor.
My first hires: for being patient as we figured it out.
My team: for helping to build a company to make a lasting impact on cabinetry in Central Virginia
My clients: for trusting us with your home and inviting us to join in creating unique and intimate spaces where you cook family meals, read books, entertain, and unwind
My wife, Chloe: for marrying a business owner despite not knowing all that entails and trusting the business to provide for our family.

Over the next year, we'll be sharing more pictures from the archives as well as highlighting our best projects today. We'll also have some exciting announcements over the next 12 months as we look forward to another decade at William's Handcrafted.
