Summer Isn’t Measured in Days — It’s Measured in Moments

Summer always seems to move a little too fast.

But the best parts aren’t really measured by how many days are left on the calendar.

They’re measured in cannonballs.
Late dinners outside.
Kids asking for five more minutes.
Friends staying longer than they planned.
And those evenings around the pool when nobody is quite ready to go inside.

Summer isn’t measured in days. It’s measured in moments.

And there are still plenty of moments left to make.

There’s something satisfying about seeing a pool project go from lines on a drawing to an actual hole in the ground.

This one is a **20' × 44' Royal Palm Pools True-L**, and the drone gave us a great look at just how much work goes into the project before anyone ever sees blue water.

At this stage, it’s all about getting the excavation right; layout, depth, shape, elevations, and making sure what’s happening in the ground matches what was planned on paper.

From the ground, you see a lot of dirt and equipment moving around.

From the air, you can really start to see the pool taking shape.

This is one I’m looking forward to following all the way through. The finished backyard is going to look a whole lot different than it does in this video.

Sometimes a pool doesn’t need to be replaced. It just needs a second life.

This above-ground pool had reached the point where the old liner and water condition were taking away from a backyard that still had plenty of potential.

A new liner can completely change that.

We removed the old liner, prepared the pool for the replacement, installed the new liner and brought the water back to the clean, blue pool you see in the finished photo.

The difference is pretty hard to miss.

And this is something we want more Central Kentucky pool owners to know: MadCo Pools doesn’t just install new pools. We rehab existing ones, too.

Yes — we do above-ground pool liner replacements too.

This pool had more going on than just old green water.

When we got into the project, we found a section of the pool wall that had been rusting and deteriorating. Instead of giving up on the entire pool, we addressed the damaged area, patched the wall, replaced the liner and worked to get the pool back up and running.

And this is the result. 👇

From green and deteriorating to clean, blue and ready for summer again.

Projects like this are a good reminder that an aging pool doesn't necessarily mean you need to start over.

Sometimes the right repair and a new liner can give an existing pool another chapter.

This pool hadn’t been open in four years.

When we arrived, it needed more than a quick cleanup to bring it back to life.

We gave the pool a fresh upgrade and went beyond what you can see in the before-and-after photos. The old bump-handle DE filtration system was removed, the valves were upgraded, and the pool was moved to a more modern filtration setup using glass media.

The difference?

Take a look at that water. 💧

From a pool that had been sitting unused for years to a backyard that’s ready to be enjoyed again.
