70 year old roof. Professional Handyman Service spent two days stripping off all the old stuff a half a dozen roofers left over the years. Screwing off old plank boards. Making repairs to dozens of areas. Removal of multiple layers of shingles and layers of felt that had been lain over, and over again. Tediously removing thousands and thousands of nails previously left. Why? To get back to a good substrate. When we apply a roof it has to not only perform it has to look good. Right? Right! Tired of that funky crawlspace? 50% of the air you breathe on the first floor of your home comes directly from the crawlspace. The ridge vent atop your roof is constantly sucking air out as it warms and rises throughout the home. That displaced air has to be replaced. The replacement air comes in through your foundation vents. When that air interacts with the 60 degree air in your crawl area abracadabra, condensation/high relative humidity and then mold and fungal. Air supply ducts completely detached and laying on the ground.. Conditioned air blowing into the great out yonder from the trunk line. F***l matter, toilet paper, urine left by the "professional" plumber that flushed the waste line out into the crawlspace, and left it that way. Spiders and webs galore. An infestation. You CANNOT disregard your crawlspace. It will cost you. In some cases your health is at stake. Professional Handyman Service does not enjoy these type projects, but we gladly accept them and make them right. If you must, start small. Start with a proper inspection.
