🚫 Why PA Epoxy Works Never Applies Polyurea Directly to Concrete
We believe in doing floors the right way. Here’s why we never install polyurea (or polyaspartic) straight onto bare concrete:
1. Weak Adhesion
Polyurea cures in seconds, so it doesn’t have time to properly pe*****te and bond with the concrete. This leads to a weaker bond that can fail sooner.
2. Moisture V***r Issues
Concrete releases moisture from below. Direct polyurea struggles with moisture v***r transmission, which often causes blistering, bubbling, peeling, and delamination — especially in PA’s climate.
3. No Full Manufacturer Warranty
Major product companies will not fully warranty polyurea applied directly to concrete without a proper primer or moisture barrier. Many “fast” installers use thin systems with big warranty exclusions.
The Right Way
We start with thorough prep, then apply a high-quality epoxy primer or moisture v***r barrier that seals the concrete. Only then do we add the durable polyurea topcoat.
This gives you:
✅ Stronger, longer-lasting adhesion
✅ Better moisture protection
✅ Full manufacturer warranty coverage
✅ Peace of mind for years
Don’t risk your floor with shortcuts.
