Bye bye bubbles… I often get asked if it is worth it to restretch carpet. My answer is it depends. If you want to use it as an excuse to get new flooring than go for it. However, a restretch can usually be done pretty quickly and relatively cheap, especially when compared to completely redoing your flooring. Most of the times on a restretch the carpet is in good shape and with proper care has many years of life left in it. It is important to take care of a restretch early in order to avoid wear lines that would still be visible after the fact.
