When it comes to fridge organization, I like to keep it simple. Food items are grouped into zones. I added a turntable on the top shelf for easy access to hard-to-reach items and a few bins for lunch foods to help my kids pack quickly and easily.

1. A shelf (or two) and a rod

1. Coats (but not too many)

2. Baskets (for hats and gloves)

3. Labels (so you can tell what's in the baskets, especially if the shelves are above eye level)

4. Hooks (for umbrellas and leashes)

5. Hangers (matching is nice, but any hangers will do)

We brought out our winter coats for the first time today and I'm not happy about it.

**ANNOUNCEMENT**

Part 1 - After a lot of thinking (and overthinking) Life with Less Mess will no longer be offering organizing services.

I will continue to share decluttering and organizing solutions, systems, products and routines around my home to (hopefully) inspire you to tackle your own spaces, but I'm done doing the work for others.

Part 2 - Come August 29th, I'll be officially reentering the world of education as a teacher. I'm nervous and excited about this change.

As always, thank you for being here and supporting my little page. I hope you stick around, but I can't promise I'll be consistent and helpful for the next few months as I transition. ❤️

Want to know how I organize sheets of craft vinyl?

I use stacking scrapbook paper holders!

Black, white, greys, and brown have their own trays, then I group warm colors together and cool colors together since I use them much less often for Etsy orders.

There are a million ways to do it but this is what works for me. What works for you?

Our basement is where we keep most of our toys -- organized in bins on a cube shelf with cute labels (obviously).

We also have one smaller cube shelf upstairs that holds just 4 bins (toy rotation for the win).

I'm striving for simple summer fun that doesn't involve stuff.

I'm striving to be present, make memories, and have fun.

I'm trying to give them fuel for future conversations where they'll say, "When I was a kid, we ..." and they'll have happy stories to share.

So today we picked blueberries.

Later, we'll make blueberry muffins and blueberry crisp and blueberry smoothies and I'll bite my tongue about the mess and the amateur measuring skills and all the spills and then they'll go outside and play and I'll clean the kitchen.

Simple summer fun. That's my plan for today. 🫐

✨Transformation Thursday✨

This client's cabinet went from a mishmash of vitamins, wine glasses and kitchen randomness to a cabinet with a purpose.

It's located right over the coffee maker so coffee supplies and vitamins (also taken in the morning) just made sense.

We created a new home for the wine glasses and sorted, contained (), and labeled the medicines. We also made a few mugs super accessible and moved the rest to a higher shelf -- they'll come down when guests come over.

This is pretty much what my coffee cabinet looks like, too. What about you?

Happy Mother's Day to meeeeee.

Yes, I know it's, like, 3 weeks after Mother's Day, but we move slow around here.

When my husband wouldn't agree to sacrifice his office so I could have a plant room, we compromised on a plant wall made with a combination of slats and shelves.

How can tomorrow possibly be June 1st?

Here's my monthly meal plan - lots of cold, quick prep dinners because I don't want to spend sunny summer days over the stove.

~Summer Swap~

Do you switch things around in your home for the summer months?

I don't do a large seasonal rotation of items, but I do swap out winter woolies for towels in my mudroom.

Towels in the mudroom might seem weird, but they are so convenient when packing for a pool trip or kids running around in the sprinkler.

I wash them after we use them and then put them right back in this cabinet, where they will live until September or October.
