Open shelving vs. upper cabinets… and honestly, we love both for very different reasons!

Upper cabinets are the workhorses, they hide the not-so-pretty, keep things feeling clean, and maximize storage (because let’s be real, we all have stuff). They’re timeless, functional, and sometimes exactly what a space needs.

But open shelving… that’s where the magic happens!
It’s our favorite way to create a statement moment in a kitchen. It gives the space room to breathe, adds a lighter feel, and lets you show off those beautiful, curated pieces that deserve to be seen.

Think stacked dishes, pretty glassware, warm wood tones, a few vintage finds, maybe a little greenery, it’s styling and function all in one. It turns everyday items into part of the design and makes the space feel more personal, layered, and lived in.

The sweet spot? A mix of both.
Function where you need it, and a little moment to have fun with where you can!

Happy Monday!
Oh what we would give to be curled up in front of a fireplace right now!

Fireplaces truly are the heart of a living room, the spot everyone naturally gathers on cozy days with a blanket, a good book, or your favorite show playing in the background. It’s where comfort meets connection!

We love using the fireplace as the anchor of the space, designing everything around it to feel just as warm, inviting, and beautiful!

We went all in on this playful wallpaper moment, because why not have a little fun in a space you use every day? Paired with warm wood tones, clean lines, and just enough contrast, it’s giving bold but balanced (our favorite combo 😉).
