Renovation win in Cashiers, NC 🔥

MF Masonry replaced an old cast iron wood stove with a 44” Mason-Lite masonry fireplace, and the result is exactly what homeowners want in a remodel: true masonry presence without the weight and complexity of some traditional systems.

Finished with full-face buff firebrick in a classic running bond on a raised hearth.

Timeless, clean, and built to last!

One of the biggest reasons homeowners choose Mason-Lite fireplaces for renovations is their lightweight design—the lightest masonry fireplace system in the industry. 🔥

For this project in Cashiers, North Carolina, we removed an old cast iron wood-burning stove and replaced it with one of our 44-inch Mason-Lite masonry fireplaces sitting on a raised hearth. The firebox was finished with full-face size buff-colored firebrick, hand-laid in a running bond pattern, creating a beautiful new focal point for the home.

The homeowner wanted a true masonry fireplace, and that's exactly what we delivered. 🔥

Thinking about a fireplace renovation? Let MF Masonry help bring your vision to life. 🔥

A Mason-Lite project often involves more than one person making decisions.

- Builders and GCs are thinking about schedule and coordination.
- Masons and installers are focused on proper installation.
- Dealers and reps are helping with product support and project handoff.
- Architects and designers are working through layout, proportions, and finish vision.
- Homeowners want confidence in the final result.

The correct manual and official Mason-Lite resources help bring those perspectives back to one shared starting point.

That’s what it means to install with confidence.

Predictable installs don’t happen by accident.

They start with the right information in the right hands before work begins.

For a Mason-Lite project, that means aligning early on the model, manual, layout, application, chase/framing conditions, chimney planning, firebrick, mortar, and finish expectations.

Those conversations are easier to have before the first block is set.
Our latest article explains how early coordination helps the whole project team install with confidence.

Spec tip: start with the model-specific manual.

Every Mason-Lite project should begin with the documentation that matches the actual system being installed -- not a guess, not a generic fireplace habit, and not assumptions from a previous project.

Confirm the model.
Review the correct manual.
Align the team before installation begins.

That simple starting point can help builders, dealers, masons, installers, and homeowners move forward with more clarity.
