These photos show the before and after results of a staircase refinished by Byars Painting and Custom Finishes. The railing and steps were completely stripped and sanded, then stained and finished with polyurethane. The spindles, newel post, risers, and skirting were lightly sanded, primed, and painted.

Byars Painting has unfortunately suffered the loss of Monty Byars. Monty was one of the best painters in Northwest Tennessee. I (Mary) thank you all for the love and support that you have shown over the past several weeks.

However, Byars Painting is still in business! I am continuing to take work and have significant availability over the next several weeks and months. I'm happy to take on new paint jobs, door refinishing, and other similar projects. I worked with Monty for over 25 years, and I look forward to using my experience at your property.

The stain on these columns are stained to match the doors and door frame trim. The columns really compliments the existing surroundings and trim.

These are pics of a cabinet refinish job just completed in South Fulton,TN. The pics illustrate, before, during the process and ultimately completed photos. These cabinets were completely stripped by both mechanical as well as chemical process. After the stripping was completed they were stained followed by appropriate prep protocols as well as varnish applications.

We would like to take a moment to highlight a few of our projects from 2024, also thank this great community for their continuous support. We have always strived to give only the best quality and customer service that clients deserve. It's always been about the details for us and trying to never leave any stones unturned that makes jobs as good as we can make them. These are photos of a project we have been working on in Union City, Tn. The first series of photos are of the bathroom area drywall repairs as well as finishing completed ahead of the actual painting. The drywall areas were filled with the appropriate amount of applications to achieve an optimal and level finish. The wall color in the bathroom Marylin's Dress in Benjamin Moore Aura in a matte finish. The woodwork on this particular project is Benjamin Moore Advance waterborne/alkyld semi-gloss and the color is white dove. The living room area is trim only and is Benjamin Moore waterborne/alkyd semi-gloss dove white also.
