✨ The Story Behind Southern Hope Designs ✨

I’ve had a few people ask about the meaning behind my business name, so I thought I’d share.
The name Southern Hope Designs was inspired by one of my favorite Bible verses:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

The word Hope has always held a special meaning to me. When I started this business, it was simply a hobby that I enjoyed. I never imagined it would grow into something that would allow me to share my creativity with others and connect with so many wonderful people.

This verse is a reminder that God has a purpose and a plan, even when we can’t see the whole picture. Southern Hope Designs is a reflection of that faith, hope, and the joy I find in creating handmade pieces for your homes and special occasions.

Here’s a little sneak peek of what I’ve been working on lately! 🇺🇸🎨

These 4th of July door hangers are well underway, but they’re not quite finished yet. Next up: adding the final details, making bows, and putting everything together.

I always enjoy sharing the process because every finished piece starts right here—with paint, brushes, and a vision.

🎨 Busy Day in the Workshop! 🎨

Today has been a busy one! While taking care of my little one as she recovers from a stomach bug, I decided to make the most of some quiet time and get started on cutting out door hangers.

Of course, things didn’t go exactly as planned when the bandsaw decided it didn’t want to cooperate! Thankfully, with a quick phone call and some guidance from my husband, I was able to get it up and running again.

After a little troubleshooting, I was able to cut out all of these door hangers, and now the fun part begins—painting! 🎨✨

There is still time to place your preorder for a custom 4th of July door hanger, and I am also accepting custom orders. If you have an idea in mind, I’d love to help bring it to life!

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed, liked, shared, and supported my small business. Reaching 200 followers is an exciting milestone, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you. If you haven’t shared my page yet, I would be so grateful if you did. Every share helps my business reach new people and allows me to help more families decorate their homes with seasonal door hangers and celebrate special occasions with custom painted banners.

Since we have some new followers, I thought this would be a great opportunity to introduce myself!

Hi, I’m Brittany Allen, the owner and creator behind this business. I am a Christian, a wife to my amazing husband, Hunter, of 14 years, and a proud mom to our two beautiful daughters, McKenzie (10) and Ansleigh (7).

By day, I am a 4th-grade Math and Science teacher. I recently completed my second year of teaching, and I absolutely love what I do. Outside of the classroom, I’ve always enjoyed crafting and creating. Painting door hangers started as a fun hobby, but over time, it grew into something I wanted to share with others. Taking the leap and turning it into an official business has been both exciting and rewarding.

I never imagined this journey would lead me here, but I am so thankful for the opportunity to create pieces that help make your homes and celebrations a little more special.
