Doing a little remodeling job, found a 3/4” PEX hot water pipe that was punctured THREE TIMES by Sheetrock screws. After almost 10 years, one was just starting to leak, maybe just a few months- as the screw started to rust off.
Lucky for the new owner- that they decided to tear that old shower out- and that we noticed the rusty metal and position of the pipe. LOL

It’s a Water Heater! Not a “hot water heater”!!!! If the water was hot, you wouldn’t need the heater! LOL

“Cleaning” most stand alone ice machines requires more than just pouring the factory recommended solution in and running the “clean” cycle. This procedure does not get the mold out and off of the parts “not” directly exposed to the water cycling through the system.
In order to properly clean the machine, it needs to be disassembled, cleaned and sanatized, reassembled, and then check the operation. Also- be sure to check the coils, which can often collect dust, pet hair, etc- blocking it and reducing the efficiency of the machine!

Standard residential water heaters have a service life of 12 to 15 years- that’s according to the manufacturers and most plumbing professionals. It is important prevenative maintenance to replace them as recommended, especially if in a condo or other multi-level dwelling to prevent water damage if it starts to leak.
