Spent yesterday sticking cactus until the rain started. I got about half way through 😅. That is one job I prefer to do all in one day but Mother Nature is the boss! We have a potting area under cover but it is too hard to transport them to their growing area without them flipping out of the pots.

I planted Common Milkweed on a huge hillside of rich soil and the flowers are the size of baseballs and the stems are as big a round as my thumb! They are spreading like crazy and this is exactly what I wanted 😄

My Blephila ciliata (Ohio Horsemint) is really stunning right now. A great deer resistant shade pollinator plant that is also very well behaved despite the word ‘mint’ in its name.

When I came home from work this beautiful Zebra Swallowtail was enjoying my Blephilia ciliata (Ohio Horsemint). It is a great pollinator plant for shade and despite its name, it doesn’t spread like mint and is well behaved. It does smell a little minty so the deer and rabbits leave it alone.
