…and a little bit of the “during” because the prep work is truly what matters the most.

Designed by , this master bathroom took on quite the transformation. From the heated floors to the solid stone shaving shelf placed at just the right height in the shower, this one is all about the luxury details.

Schluter Systems was used to ensure this one stays fully waterproof, and a 24 hr flood test was done to confirm there were no leaks. Because it’s not luxury if there’s mold growing behind your tile😷😉

Out with the old, let’s give you ✨a Princess✨

So satisfying to tear out that ugly, poorly installed mosaic tile and replace it was something absolutely show-stopping! Handmade tile in a custom color blend by Mercury Mosaics.

Also, huge shoutout to Mercury Mosaics because they really came through for us on this project. Our first batch of tile was not as exactly what the homeowner expected, and the MM team were so gracious to rush order a new batch of a different color tile for us. An incredible company with amazing staff who truly care about their customers and each and every tile they produce. Love you guys ❤️

Photos are back and wow, isn’t she STUNNING??😍

I’m still in awe of this backsplash and grateful to have an incredible art piece like this in my portfolio.

This tile is from Mercury Mosaics, where every piece is hand made and individually glazed, right here in Minnesota.
This is their medium fish scale tile in the “wave” pattern, with a custom color blend and tailored design.

We utilized mitered corners for the window returns to eliminate the need for a metal profile in this design.
Mitering corners with a tile like this is certainly not easy, but it was 100% worth it for the clean, classic look they provide.
I would do it again in a heartbeat 🧡

This backsplash is such a dream 😍 truly an art piece.

Designed, hand-made, hand-glazed and assembled by the incredible in Minneapolis. I just stick it to the wall. 😉

Mitered edges around the windows to give it a clean look rather than using metal trim. A time consuming process but sooooo worth the results! Ask any other installer to miter a fish scale pattern and they’d look at you like you’re crazy. Good thing I am 🤪

These clients were incredible to work for and were blown away by results. I’m so thankful that I get to bring people’s visions to life and see their reactions when it’s done. Nothing beats that feeling! 🤍✨

Just wrapped up this beauty!!😍😍

Thanks to for the lovely shade(s) of green. This color is “Evening Shadow” on their handmade medium chevron and subway tiles. It fits this home wonderfully!

The miters were the absolute best choice for the outside corners on this one- I think anything else would’ve looked out of place. It’s so satisfying seeing the pattern wrap around the corner like that😍 Certainly not the easiest option, but that’s what makes it even better.

If you have any suggestions as to how you would’ve prepped this area differently, let me know! Making a clean corner with mud was a first for me, and I’m always looking for tips and tricks to make life easier.

Well this was sure worth the effort😍😍😍 I’m obsessed with how the bench wrap turned out🖤🖤🖤

Templated the walls and dry laid out all the tiles to have all of my cuts done before I started setting. Very glad I did this and it worked perfectly! Setting it still took quite some time and patience but it was a labor of love. I truly love projects like this that put my abilities to the test!

Black epoxy grout kicked my ass doing it alone, but this was also very worth the effort for the peace of mind knowing this shower is going to look brand new 10 years down the road. ✨
